CysDBase is an database collection of Cysteine Post-Translational Modifications, namely, Disulfide, S-Glutathionylation, Metal-Binding, S-Sulfenylation, Thioether, S-Nitrosylation, S-Palmitoylation and Thioether. This is the first database to store the information of Thioether and S-Sulfenylation modifications on Cysteine.
Search input: UniProt_ID;Cell Organelles;Biological Pathway;Genus name of the organism.
Output: Cys_Residue, Cys Post-Translational Modifications, Sequences, Location, Pathway, PubMedID, PDB_ID, Buried Fraction (Bf) and rhpy (Relative Hydrophocity);
Biological relevance: Molecular mechanisms and pathways, corresponding to protein Cys Post-Translational Modifications, can be curated from this database. For the first time, protein mocroenvironment is computed and reported around Cysteine modifications, in this database.
